DECA Manual 2024

I led a team that wrote a research paper, or manual, for DECA in 2024 for the BSOR (Business Services Operations Research) event. DECA(Distributive Education Clubs of America) is a national, business-oriented, school club for high school and college students. The prompt for DECA Operations Research events in 2023-2024 was to analyze the current processes for recruiting, hiring, onboarding and retaining employees and then develop a present a strategic plan to attract and retain employees. We worked with Concentra – Trenton, New Jersey and used the location as a sample to develop a potential strategic plan that help Concentra attract and retain employees nationally while addressing the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention concerns. Our team, led by me, placed 3rd in the New Jersey Central West regional competition, and 3rd in the New Jersey State Conference, earning me a spot in the International Conference in Anaheim, California. We placed among the top 40 competitors in the world at DECA Internationals this May.
